APPROVAL OF THE AMERICAN TROUBADOUR IN MIDDLE SCHOOLS GRANT APPLICATION TO THE STATE TOURING PROGRAM FOR EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS AT NINE DISTRICT SCHOOLS
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $2,333 will be matched by a grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to bring Bill Schustik, the American Troubadour, to schools throughout the district. Mr. Schustik will present two teacher workshops prior to his performances for 8th grade students at Booker Middle School, Brookside Middle School, Heron Creek Middle School, Laurel Nokomis School, McIntosh Middle School, Phoenix Academy, Sarasota Middle School, Venice Middle School and Woodland Middle School.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the American Troubadour in the Middle Schools grant application.
